Lifeboat Station and Windmill

Image-13I spent the day in Lytham St Annes, a typical north western seaside town. I went to get a shot of the windmill. Trouble was they were doing work around the windmill, so I wasn’t able to get a clean shot of it from the normal points of view. Anyway as I continued to look round, I saw the boat house and thought it would give added interest to the composition if I could get a decent angle on it. But whatever angle I tried from the pathway and surrounding green, just wasn’t working. So eventually I scrambled down onto the marsh, and found this point of view, I eventually got my composition, even though I was getting pestered and bitten by what seemed like thousands of midges, as I waited for the sun to go down. But after all the effort and discomfort, I got my shot and think it was worth it. Let us know what you think.

West Kirby Marine Lake

Long exposure of West Kirby Marine Lake.

Long exposure of West Kirby Marine Lake.

While out and about locally, trying to capture a sunset which never materialised and feeling fed up because I didn’t get a descent photograph for my evenings efforts.

I was about to give up and go home, but suddenly thought I would nip down to West Kirby. I had just started to experiment with long exposure photography, and thought the piers of West Kirby Marine Lake, would make a good subject.

With the batteries of my remote having run out, (I know, you should always check your equipment before you go out), and not having any spares, I had to settle for a maximum exposure of 30 seconds. Lucky enough it was long enough to get a decent exposure. So this picture was the results of my efforts. Please let me know what you think of it.

Building My New Website.

I have eventually decided to see if I can get my website up and running correctly. I’m going to start from a clean sheet, and add images and pages on a regular basis. For the moment I will be loading new galleries of images and giving my old ones a spring clean and updating them.

I will be posting new blogs to keep you all informed how its going, and hopefully add new content to my website.

Here are some of my latest images I have uploaded.

Hope you all enjoy them.

If you have enjoyed this post or my images, please like and share on your favourite social sites, you never know some of tour friends might like to see them as well.

Any feedback is always welcome.
